Young at Art is a group of elders who meet weekly on Thursday afternoons and take part in arts activities, reminiscence work, complementary therapies, outings and events. Young at Art have no end of stories; once started the project could have
gone on and on, many in the group
being natural story tellers, and a few Irish storytellers too.
They
enjoyed listening to each other and particularly enjoyed the
visits to the Museum of London Archive and a follow up workshop which explored
objects on loan from the Museum to Facing East. As
the collection of objects grew and they saw what people had given, these
became starting points for further stories.
